Missouri Storms as Tornado

Destructive Storm System Sweeps Multiple States

The hardest hit areas by the extreme weather, which included tornadoes, heavy storms, and gale-force winds, were the Mississippi Valley and Deep South.

Missouri Sees Several Fatalities and Injuries

Missouri authorities reported at least 10 fatalities as of Saturday morning, with a number of others injured, the state’s highway patrol said. One such incident was of a man who died when a tornado reduced his house to rubbles.

“It was not recognizable as a house. Just a field of debris,” Butler County Coroner Jim Akers told the Associated Press in an interview. “The floor was on top. We were climbing on walls.” Also rescued was a woman who was inside the house.

Arkansas Also Devastated by Severe Weather

Violent storms, consequently, injured 29 people and killed three on Saturday morning in Arkansas, according to officials.
