Ricky Rai, son of the late underworld figure N Muthappa Rai, faced a life-threatening attack near his residence. The incident took place just past midnight, between 1:00 am and 1:30 am, in Bidadi town, located in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district. He was on his way from Bidadi to Bengaluru.

Ricky Rai travelled in his SUV with his driver, Basavaraju, and his gunman. Unidentified attackers fired gunshots at the vehicle. The bullets struck the car from behind a compound wall. One bullet pierced through the driver’s seat. It injured Ricky and his driver.
